How To Use A Keyword Planner Tool To Increase Your Traffic | Best Keyword Suggestion Tool For Your Website
In this post, I am going to walk your through how to get the best keywords for your website to increase traffic and by doing this, we need to use a keyword research tool. A good one!
Although we are going to use a specific niche for the purposes of this article, ALL the steps show here can be used with the same increased result for ANY niche. These are the best FREE methods outside of the very complicated Google Adwords Keyword Tool
So, let’s choose a subject for our walk through today.
Today, we’re going to be promoting our business of bouncy castles.(Well, it’s nearing the end of the week!)
First off, we need to get an understanding as to how people are looking for bouncy castle hire on Google. For this, we’re going to use the free method of alphabet soup.
This is a very simple and highly effective method to find out what people are searching for on Google (other search engines do exist but the one we want to impress the most is Google!)
You will need to open a new tab in Google to do this.
Next, you’re going to start typing in what you think people searching for bouncy castles might. This can be random first, but it helps you to get an idea of what terms are being used.
As Google will start to ‘second guess’ what you want to say next, it will automatically issue a drop-down menu of the most popular search terms people using the words ‘bouncy castle’ have entered.
So, what can we see from this example?
We can see that ‘bouncy castle for hire’ is the most popular followed by ‘bouncy castle for sale.’ The one that is asking for bouncy castles in Liverpool is very interesting! (particularly if your bouncy castle business is in Liverpool!)
Next, you need to open a keyword search tool and the easiest and fastest one to use is Jaaxy.
What is Jaaxy?
Jaaxy is a very easy to use keyword search tool that also tells you SPECIFICALLY who the competition is for your selected keywords, what domains you can buy for that keyword, whether the keyword is worth using or not and other suggested keywords around that desired term. All of which will save you time and a lot of research and allow you to drive the maximum amount of traffic to your site, thus increasing your Google rankings.
Jaaxy will give you 30 FREE searches before you can opt in and open a membership account at the level with suits you best. If you want to find out more about Jaaxy as a tool that can empower your business, read our review, CLICK HERE
If you want to have a chance to see Jaaxy in action, then you’re very welcome to use the tool bar here to start a trial search to see exactly what people are searching for for your product or service. You will be able to see for yourself how easy it is to find keywords that maximise your traffic figures.
So, let’s go back to our example. You can type in ‘bouncy castles’ and the following is the sort of results Jaaxy is going to provide for you.
So, what does Jaaxy show you here?
Let’s start by looking at each column from left to right.
At the top, you can see the search bar you’ve just typed bouncy castle in to.
Underneath, Jaaxy has very helpfully given you a list of terms that it’s found that are also used to search for bouncy castles. The next line along under AVG shows you the average of people each month searching for this specific term. Ideally, the best figure to go for here is anything above 100.
The Traffic heading is fairly self-explanitory. This shows you how the average amount of traffic your site will generate if it makes it onto the first page of Google search results. Ideally, the best traffic is somewhere 50+ as this will naturally grow in time.
The second line across under the heading QSR, once clicked, will tell you the EXACT number of pages on the entire web that have this exact keyword term in either its heading or first two paragraphs. Ideally, the best score to go for here is less than 200. The lower the figure the better, if you can.
Under KQI, Jaaxy uses a traffic light system to tell you whether this keyword or group phrase is worth using. This is a very important feature as Jaaxy is a live, continuously updated system that will let you know how effective a keyword might be so you can choose to use it or search deeper for untapped keywords (of which there are thousands and Jaaxy will help you find them.) Ideally, you want a keyword that is only ever green ‘great,’ especially when your’re first starting out using keywords.
Under SEO, this is a further confirmation on whether the keyword you are considering is worth using. This number you see denotes the scoring between 1-100. The higher to 100 the score, the more powerful the keyword. Ideally, you want a score around 90+ for your keywords.
The domains column will show you what domains are available to you. It is a great benefit especially if you are writing a one-page website or a landing page which is focusing on one product or service you are promoting. It will also increase your Google rankings ten fold if you have a domain name made out of a highly searched keyword.
In conclusion, any of the results here that Jaaxy has found for you are good keywords to use. All you have to do now is tailor your keyword search even deeper still to uncover a specific keyword niche.
Why do I want to find a more specific niche?
The gold to be found on the net when it comes to making money is to find the audience that are willing to buy right now and are searching the net with their credit card in their hand already. You will only find these audiences if you get very specific.
If we use our example of bouncy castles, you might find that there are people who are looking for bouncy castles in Shropshire specifically.
They might also be looking for information on what bouncy castles to hire for a children’s party under the age of 5 years old.
Or they might be looking for a bouncy castle for adults. Are they looking for bouncy castles which are self assembly? Easy to hire within 24 hours?
Do they want to find out about different types of bouncy castle?
How about dragon shaped bouncy castles, like this one? Once you start digging deeper into your niche, you will find there are hundreds of niches to choose from for your site, your post or your article.
This is really the secret sauce when it comes to using keywords for search engine optimisation. Spend a little time on getting very specific about your niche as you will find this is EXACTLY where the money is for you and your business.
Good luck! And leave me a comment below if you have any questions, I will be more than happy to help you.
